World Refugee Day: Join Prep Kitchen in Supporting the War Child Charity

World Refugee Day is a global awareness day organised each year on 20th June by the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Since 2001, World Refugee Day has been highlighting the plight of refugees around the world, and celebrating the strength and courage of those who have been forced to flee their homes and countries to escape war or persecution.

What happens on World Refugee Day?

Each year, countries around the world mark this awareness day by organising activities and events to either raise awareness of the challenges faced by refugees, or to raise funds for charities that support refugees. The day serves to remind the world that there are always people affected by conflict, or oppressed and persecuted because of their beliefs.

How is Prep Kitchen helping to support World Refugee Day?

This year, our chefs have created a special dish in honour of World Refugee Day, Chicken Kabuli. We’re donating 100% of the profits from this dish to the wonderful charity, War Child.

War Child aims to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children affected by conflict.

Chicken Kabuli will be available on our menu for two weeks, and we’ll be pausing the launch of any other new meals during this period.

How can you help?

Simply add this meal to your plan for the next two weeks, and we’ll do the rest!
